Stout & About NYC

NYC's stout-pouring kegerator rental

The perfect pour, wheeled to your party.

Stout kegs need gear ordinary kegerators don't have — a nitro gas blend, a stout faucet, a European coupler. We built the rig because nobody rents one. Full-size, on wheels, dropped off anywhere in NYC and picked up the next day. Your distributor delivers and taps the keg. We bring everything else.

The rig

Everything but the beer itself.

You can rent a kegerator anywhere. You can't rent one that pours stout — the nitro system and European coupler it takes are genuinely hard to come by. That gap is the reason this rig exists.

The Stout & About rig — full-size black Kegco kegerator with polished stainless draft tower and stout faucet
The rig itself — cleaned, chilled, and ready to roll
Spotless kegerator interior showing sanitized beer line, gas line, tank bracket, and coupler
Inside: sanitized lines, ready for your keg
Kegco manufacturer label showing UL listing and 115V rating
UL-listed, runs on any standard outlet
  • Kegco K309B Guinness® Kegerator — the hard-to-find setup: stainless stout faucet, U-system coupler, and nitrogen tank with regulator, all stainless contact from keg to glass. Most rental kegerators physically can't tap a stout keg. This one was built for it.
  • Fits your keg — half-barrels (15.5 gal / ~124 pints), quarter-barrels, sixtels, and the 50L Euro kegs most imported stouts come in.
  • Cold and ready — digital temperature control down to 32°F, running off any standard 110V outlet. We bring an outdoor-rated extension cord.
  • On locking casters — rolls through doorways, into elevators, and across patios, then locks in place. We deliver and pick up next day; your distributor taps the keg.

FAQ

Fair questions, straight answers.

Do you provide the beer?
No — we rent equipment only. New York law requires a license to sell alcohol, so the keg itself is yours to purchase. Plenty of NYC beverage shops and distributors sell stout kegs, and many deliver.
Who taps the keg?
Your beer distributor. Most NYC keg distributors deliver, tap, and later collect the empty keg as part of the order — just schedule their delivery for after our drop-off, and the kegerator will be cold and waiting.
Can it pour beers other than stout?
No — and that's the whole point. Stout kegs need a nitro gas blend, a restrictor-plate stout faucet, and a European-style coupler that ordinary kegerators don't have. That gear is genuinely hard to come by, which is why we built this rig. If you're after lagers or IPAs on tap, plenty of standard rentals can help; if you want a proper pint of stout, there's this.
Does it work outdoors?
Yes — patios, rooftops, backyards, and driveways are its natural habitat. It needs a standard 110V outlet within reach (we bring a heavy-duty outdoor extension cord) and reasonably level ground. For parks and picnics without power, ask us — shorter events can work with a pre-chilled keg.
How far in advance should I book?
Two weeks is comfortable; summer weekends and holidays go first. Last-minute inquiries are always worth a shot — we'll tell you straight if the date's gone.
What if something breaks?
Normal wear is on us. Damage beyond that comes out of the security deposit, itemized and documented — see the Terms below. Treat it like you'd treat a friend's grill and you'll get every dollar back.

The fine print

Rental terms & conditions.

1 · Equipment rental only

Stout & About NYC rents beverage-dispensing equipment. We do not sell, supply, furnish, or serve alcohol. The renter is solely responsible for lawfully purchasing any beverages and for compliance with all applicable laws, including that no alcohol is served to anyone under 21.

2 · Eligibility & deposit

Renters must be 21 or older and present a valid government-issued ID at delivery. A refundable security deposit of $250 is collected at booking and returned within 3 business days of pickup, less any documented damage, missing parts, or excess cleaning.

3 · Delivery, pickup & access

Rates include delivery and next-day pickup within the agreed zone and time windows. The renter must ensure adequate access (doorways, elevators, stairs disclosed in advance) and a working 110V outlet. Keg delivery, tapping, and removal are handled by the renter's beer distributor, not by us. Additional access complications may incur extra charges quoted before work proceeds.

4 · Care of equipment

The renter agrees to keep the kegerator upright, indoors or under cover from rain, plugged in for the duration of the rental, and operated only per the provided instructions. Only the renter and their guests of legal drinking age may operate the tap. Do not transport the unit in a vehicle or attempt repairs.

5 · Damage & loss

The renter is responsible for loss, theft, or damage to the equipment beyond normal wear from delivery until pickup. Repair or replacement costs will be itemized and deducted from the deposit; costs exceeding the deposit will be invoiced.

6 · Cancellations & weather

Full refund for cancellations 7+ days before delivery; 50% refund within 7 days; no refund within 48 hours. One free date change is allowed with 72 hours' notice, subject to availability. Rain doesn't stop the rig — but if weather makes delivery unsafe, we'll reschedule at no charge.

7 · Liability

The renter assumes responsibility for the use of the equipment and the conduct of their guests, and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Stout & About NYC from claims arising from the event, including those related to alcohol consumption. Our liability is limited to the rental fees paid.
